Held at University Malaya in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s capital city, the D.A.R.T.S seminar took place on Wednesday 21st of March 2018.
Invited by the seminar’s organizing committee, was Solace Sabah’s Clinical Director Dr. Prem Kumar Shanmugam, who in front of over 500 young students shared valuable information on the issues of drug abuse in modern society and the related dangers of addictions.
Furthermore, Dr. Prem Kumar Shanmugam also highlighted how depression and some forms of mental health illnesses can contribute to someone’s involvement with illicit substances and addictive behaviors, often influenced by the biological, psychological, social and spiritual backgrounds.
Solace Sabah actively cooperates with government and non-government agencies in its continuous effort to battle and eradicate addiction.
