EYDFC 2018 - EMPOWERING YOUTH FOR DRUG FREE COMMUNITY - UNIVERSITI SAINS ISLAM MALAYSIA

The 12th National Drugs Prevention Conference “PREVENT 2018” was inaugurated on October 22nd at the Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia in conjunction with the EYDFC 2018 Seminar – Empowering Youth for Drug Free Community.

Jointly organized by the Faculty of Leadership and Management and the Faculty of Psychology and Education, the seminar saw the attendance of important government agencies such as the Royal Malaysia Police, Malaysia Prison Department, National Anti-Drug Agency as well as numerous academics and practitioners.

Among the reputed plenary speakers was Dr. Prem Kumar Shanmugam, CEO and Clinical Director of Solace Asia. Invited by the organizing committee, Dr. Prem took the stage to deliver an engaging presentation on the subject of codependency, the excessive emotional or psychological reliance on a loved one suffering from addiction.
